King of Tort

By John Grisham

Clay is a lawyer that works at OPD (a lawyer's association that works for people that can't hire their own lawyer). He is the only son of Jarret, one of the most famous lawyer that has been kicked out from lawyer's world because of one big mistake.

Clay's life so pathetic, low wages, cheap car, and also cheap apartment. His girlfriend, Rebecca, wants a break up and then she marry another wealthy guy.

Then, one day, Clay got an opportunity to change his entire life. Max Pace ask him to let go one of his case (a murder case) and turn back to represent the victim to get $15 million.

From zero to hero, from nothing to something, from no one to someone, from a poor lawyer becomes one of the most famous lawyer at DC, in just one night.

Then he becomes a lawyer with a specialization in a class action suit against two big pharmacy company.

Did he happy with his new wealth (new office, new firm, new girlfriend, new house, and new gulfstream)?
But why he's still missing Rebecca so much, and feel so jealous to her new husband?
Nice novel with law and pharmacy background, a little bit confusing for us that non expert about law's technical term, but I still can enjoy read it.
